During the January 2020 trip, John Gates and Mark Clements traveled to El Diamante. El Diamante is a small community in the Department of Atlántida with a population of approximately 250 people. The water from the shallow wells in the community have a high level of iron, causing the water to be unsuitable for drinking. LWI drilled a 50’ deep well that produces approximately 15 gallons per minute of clean water for the community.
